I think they would make excellent proxy models - way cheaper too. On average though, the Firestorm Armada models are a bit larger than BFG, when compared to the respective ship category. I have never played BFG so I don't know if the ship's size would be important in game terms.

i think the ship size are a bit larger.
as i think about it, these plates would be nice representation of solar sails for corsair elders as well if painted as such.
